spreading ground blacktop

I may be able to get ground blacktop from a local repaving project. I know I must spread it pretty quickly. I will be using hand tools and a small tractor with plow, and possably a lawn roller. Will this work ? What can I seal it with ? Better suggestions for spreading ? Any info will be greatly appreciated. I know it won't be the best, but it will be better than sandstone/gravel/mud. Thank you,

sealants are readily available in home depots and all you need to do is to prepare the mixture and lay it on the driveway.
