an asphalt drive we had installed shows the "aggregate" (stone) in a patch at the surface. what articles are available to describe quality expected?

Answers:

From: JT Johnson

it is understandable if the driveway is old and had been subjected to different weather conditions and heavy loads. for newly installed driveways and this had happened, the problem may be of the following:

1. curing period not met
2. acid content of the asphalt
3. too thin surface layer
