why have i got stains on my newly laid tarmac ,why is it still soft after 14 days

our newly laid asphalt drive is covered in marks reminiscent of cement. laid 14 days ago the marks seem to be getting worse. have been told it is water marks from the roller.is this feesable and if so how do we get rid of them. washing with hose and yard brush,no change. alsofr after 12 days it has started to lift on car tyres, and again on 14th day,please advise

it would seem that somehting in the equipment that layed the asphalt in your driveway had a hydrolic leak and thats why your driveway appears wet and lifting up. you need to get whom ever did the work back and repair what they have done. fyi water marks from the roller is b.s.
