how long before you should drive on a newly paved driveway? Should I spread sand on the new pavement?

Answers:

From: Nikolai Andersen

laying sand on the newly laid asphalt is advisable to help it get rid of oil residue and protect it from rain. for best results, a driveway should be used at least 4 weeks after it was laid.
