what is the laying tollerance of tarmac on a public road (say in a built up housing scheme) adn in how many layers also what sise of stone chips should be in the top tar.

Answers:

From: Randy Martin

that depends on the expected load for the road. say how many cars is expected to drive on the road per hour, per day and per month. in that way, you will know the thickness of the tarmac needed. the standard is two to three layers including the base. the smallest size of stone is used for the last layer. be sure to sealcoat it for better road protection.
