how thick should tarmac be laid



i have had a quote for my drive which states hardcore with crush stone then basecoat tarmac and then top coat in 6mm egrade red and then machine power rolled to consolidate. I am sondering if this 6mm topcote is thick enough??

the tarmac thickness depends on the expected load for the tarmac. you can search for the formula on how to compute the thickness based on the expected load.
