When placing Class "D" asphalt what compaction methods should be used to ensure it is is compacted enought yet will still infiltrate. Is the a max denisity it can be compacted to and measued with a nuclear gauge?



I need to write a spec for Class D use on a trail and I'm not sure how to write the compaction spec to keep it open draining.
